Here is my bedroom mood board, I love the idea of a crisp clean and tidy room, although in reality I am quite messy. While I love a lot of white, I do like a hint of colour, and to be honest, duck egg blue is at the top of my list for a bedroom. Previously, I would have loved florals and possibly some pinks, but it's Hub's room as much as mine and therefore a compromise is in order.
Unfortunately, Hubs is not really a fan of white or duck egg in a bedroom, he feels that the colours are too cold and not homely for a bedroom. He does generally like the furniture and decor I have chosen. We are both completely obsessed with ornate fancy french/gothic bedroom furniture such as this bed and matching dressing table (hubs would probably prefer it in gold or black).
We are also big fans of stags, horns and skulls, so when I saw these antler bedside lamps from Dunelm, I had to have them! They have been a welcome addition to our bedroom as it can be quite dingy, and also I love to read in bed so functional and stylish. We also love day of the dead/kitsch Mexican decor and therefore this sugar skull valentines print is right up our street and add a bit of charachter to the room.
My main novelty item is the neon heart, although whether we would choose out initials instead, or get something more elaborate from the neon lamp shop in Brighton is to be decided when we eventually buy a house and kit it out.
In terms of wall paper, I know I am probably a bit outdated with the one feature wall, but I love damask print, but feel it can be a bit 'grandma' if it was pasted all over the room.
