Beauty | 6 Simple tips to get clear skin overnight

Even if we’re drinking enough water, getting our beauty sleep and sticking religiously to our skincare routine, we’re all prone to breakouts every now and again. Nothing is more frustrating than the appearance of a zit the day before an important interview or a big date, but by trying a few of these tips, you might be able to get rid just in time.

Wash your face

Our first point might be a no-brainer, but you should always make sure that you wash your face before bed to get rid of the buildup of oil and dirt throughout the day. Even if you haven’t worn any makeup, pollution from the environment can clog our pores, and over time these clogged pores turn into blackheads or spots. Yuck!

Try aloe vera

The healing ingredients found in aloe vera have been used for centuries to treat wounds and scars, but this green plant can also help to treat pimples and acne fast. Get your hands on some organic aloe vera juice, dab it on the problem area and let it dry for about one hour before washing it off with warm water. You should see a decrease in inflammation the next day.

Steam it out

One of the main causes of breakouts is simply the fact that our pores are clogged with oil and dirt. Steaming your face will open your pores so that these toxins can escape. Fill a large bowl with hot water and let your face take in the steam for about 15 minutes. To trap the steam, put a towel over your head.

Dab on some toothpaste

Everyone has heard of the toothpaste trick when it comes to getting rid of pesky pimples, but it is something that actually works. Use two tablespoons of white toothpaste and mix it with a teaspoon of cinnamon before applying it on the affected areas. Allow it to soak into the skin for 10-15 minutes, and you should notice that it has dried out the zit, ultimately shortening its lifespan.

Hydrate yourself

Keeping ourselves properly hydrated is paramount to the health of our skin. Dehydration will only have negative effects on our skin, causing it to become dull, dry and more prone to breakouts. You can also try rubbing ice on the affected area for about two minutes. This will slow down blood flow and reduce inflammation by tightening up the skin.

Aspirin and baking soda

This tip is a little more unusual, but it will only lead to positive results. Dissolve aspirin or baking soda into some water to create a paste and then apply to the affected area, leaving it for no more than five minutes. How does it work? The acid found in both of these products is similar to that found in many acne treatments that are used to decrease redness.

There you have it, some of the best tips to try to make sure you’re looking your best for the day ahead. Remember that you should always aim to use makeup collections with natural ingredients as these will be less prone to irritating your skin.

Beauty | A hairy girls guide to hair removal

I am going to start this blog post by saying that if you are comfortable with your body hair that is fantastic for you. Being noticeably hairier than my peers growing up, for me it is something I am still quite uncomfortable with, but I get that is quite normal for someone who had to start bleaching her upper lip at the age of 9!

As we all know there are many ways to say goodbye to unwanted body hair, but each method varies in how long the results lasts, these also differ from person to person. Some methods get rid of hair for a few days, while others can remove it for weeks. It is all a matter of balancing your budget and time constraints with how much you want the offending hairs to disappear.

Sugaring Instead of Waxing or Shaving Body Hair

Sugaring treatments are like waxing treatments. However, sugaring should keep hair from growing back for at least six weeks. Waxing treatments can work for that long, but they also sometimes only work for about two weeks. As for shaving, new growth after doing that can be visible after as little as two or if you are me, by the next day.

Obviously, shaving is the easiest and most comfortable, I am guilty of growing out my legs for a wax and then giving up and shaving instead. If you choose to shave hair away, you can expect to be doing so all the time. Waxing and sugaring are equally painful, but you can reduce the discomfort by having the treatment done professionally.

Electrolysis and Laser Treatments for Hair Removal

Aside from waxing and sugaring treatments, clinics also offer other hair removal treatments. Among them are the use of laser hair removing devices and electrolysis machines. Both techniques involve some degree of discomfort, and both have to be repeated over and over again for the best results.

I hear that Laser treatment is more comfortable than electrolysis, and that is can be more versatile. An electrolysis treatment is better suited to treating a small area of the body, while lasers can be used almost anywhere. Having had electrolysis in the past, I would say it is effective, but uncomfortable. As the treatment, targets follicle by follicle, it is limited to small areas, and can be less effective on coarse hair. Laser treatment is much more effective to remove hair from a larger area.

Using Epilators for Hair Removal Spot Treatments

Epilators are small hand-held devices that can pull out several hairs at a time. You can grab yourself an Epilator from Boots, I can recommend the Braun Silk range, as I use the Epil 7 myself. While more time consuming and painful than shaving, I find it does offer a longer lasting result and although I know it doesn’t make a difference, the hair does appear to grow back finer.

Aftercare Treatments to Help Keep Body Hair Away

Regardless of which technique or combination of techniques you decide to use, aftercare can help you maximize the results. Make sure you moisturise after you de-fuzz yourself. Depilatory formulas are specially designed to get rid of existing hairs after repeated use, but they can also work to keep hair that is already gone from growing back as quickly as it would without depilatory cream treatment.

As you can see, the world of hair removal is not limited to shaving and waxing at all. There are many treatments that are available to you. You can even try several different hair removal techniques until you find out which method is the one(s) that your body responds to best.

Have you got a hair removal tip, trick or story?

Beauty | Autumn Winter Beauty Essentials

A/W Beauty Essentials

It may be September, but apparently, the weather didn’t get the memo, well at least not until yesterday. It is raining, but it's hot muggy rain, not the sort that requires big coats and boots. However, it won’t be long until our skin and hair start showing the signs of cold weather. The constant temperature changes from outside to in, dries out our lovely locks and sun-kissed skin. That’s why it’s important that you update your beauty regime to cater for your bodies new needs.

Hair

Leave-in Conditioner

My hair is always on the dry side, years of dying and heat damage has not been too beneficial, also hair with a curl or wave in it tends to need more moisture. I have been using this Paul Mitchell Leave-in conditioner for a while with great results. I find it’s not too heavy for my fine hair, helps tackle the frizz and add shine. It’s important to find the right product for you.

Hair Oil

I apply hair oil to the ends of my hair on the last day before I wash it. Generally, by this point, my ends are starting to dry out, so adding oil and putting it in a bun or a braid, allows it to last another day and gives it much needed moisture. While usually, I use a light oil, in the winter I switch to Macadamia Oil, which usually is too oily and heavy for my hair, but is perfect for preventing winter damage. I only apply it to the ends, but if you have thicker or dryer hair, you could add it to your mid-lengths too.

Conditioning Masks

OK, so this might be overkill, but I find using a good conditioning mask once a week helps make my hair more manageable in the Winter, and adds some much-needed shine.

Skin

A Good Moisturiser

This goes without saying really – although in the Winter I like to switch over to Weleda Skin Food – this is a miracle cream. It stops your face feeling tight and makes such a difference in the appearance of the skin, leaving it soft, smooth and glowing. It might be worth adding a wrinkle cream to your regime too.

Gradual Tan

OK, this isn’t an essential unless you just always look half dead – like I do. Oh boy, do I wish I had lovely pale skin, but instead of looking like Dita on Teese or some other Ivory goddess, I look like a Zombie. I should have a lovely olive complexion due to my heritage (Italian and Iranian) but because of my anaemia I just look ill.

Exfoliator

Again, exfoliating is probably already part of your routine, whether with a product or a muslin. I find in the colder months, that I need to exfoliate a lot more regularly – the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is a powder that you mix with water and apply to your face. It’s great as it brightens your skin by removing dead skin cells, stimulating cell renewal and helps balance uneven pigmentation.

Cleanser and Toner

Yes you are already using some sort of cleanser, I like to use The Body Shop Vitamin E Cleanser and Toner, partly to help treat my scar, but also because vitamin e is known for its benefits for the skin – also The Body Shop Skin Care Diagnostic Tool recommended it to me as part of a tailored skin care plan.

Lip Balm

Do you remember how dry your lips get in Winter? I’ve been a devout Carmex fan for years, but I recently started using this Meraki lip balm (with an SPF15 so can be used in Summer too) it’s smooth to apply and long lasting. Not to mention it smells and tastes DIVINE.

Hand Cream

Your hands are another casualty of the Winter months, don’t let them become sore and dry – I love this Burts Bee hand cream, it’s not too greasy and absorbs quickly – great to leave on your desk at work and apply throughout the day.

Well being

Essential Oils

There are loads of benefits to starting to use Essential oils all year round – but Winter is a good time to use them to stave off illness – I have chosen Lavender as it’s great for aiding sleep, relieving muscle ache, alleviates headaches, reducing stress and anxiety, disinfect the scalp and skin, enhance blood circulation and treat respiratory problems.

Beauty| My Latest Beauty Adventure

When I was younger, apart from the years that I spent wanting to be a singer (#delusionalteenager), I wanted to be a hairdresser or beautician. I used to spend hours perfecting my cat-eye, or attempting to do treatments at home, not always successfully, with several awkward eyebrow looks, bad dye jobs and patchy waxing.

Recently, I have got back into the habit of looking after myself, getting my nails done, regular trips to a decent eyebrow lady and even a spray tan! Often I sit there wondering if I could learn to do these myself and how much money would it save me? So, I decided to start a Beauty Therapy Level 2 course in my spare time online, with NCC Learning.

I am not thinking of packing in my career and becoming a beautician, but it has always been something that I have been interested in.  In the future, I could possibly earn some extra money doing treatments at home, or work part-time while bringing up a family. But most importantly it will mean that I will hopefully have amazing eyebrows and make up forever.

Despite the awful stereotyping of beauty students being dumb, looking at the modules, I am pleasantly surprised to find that this might be a bit of a challenge. The online course has modules on the usual beauty treatments, facials, skincare, nails and more, as well as some business units, which could really help not only me but Joe and his barbershop. Aside, from business and beauty there is also a whole module on Anatomy and Physiology, including sections on the lymphatic systems, blood, and cells.

Having looked at the course, my first unit will focus on Facial and Skincare – this looks at the structure of skin and how its health and condition is essential. The documentation provided for this and every module seems very comprehensive, and while it looks quite daunting, I think it includes everything that I need. I will let you know how I get on if this goes well I’d also like to do a photography course and maybe some sort of science A-level!

If you could do any course or training even just as a hobby what would it be?

BEAUTY | WELLA SYSTEM PROFESSIONAL SP ENERGY - THE VERDICT

It's verdict time on the Wella Systems Professional Energy Code. If you want to see what I am talking about - my first post on my salon experience is here. After taking the products home, it was time for me to take the lead and follow my hair plan. The aim was to improve my scalp and condition of my hair.

Personally, I didn't get on with the shampoo - it made my hair feel funny when and after I washed it. With no conditioner to follow it, I felt like it left my hair dryer and more frizzy, despite it being a smoothing shampoo.

However, when it comes to the Balance Mask, I was very surprised - I applied this once a week, to avoid making my hair too greasy. Usually, masks leave my hair feeling heavy and makes it go greasy very quickly but this was not the case. My hair felt soft and was actually shiny, which is very rare for my hair. It left it more manageable too.

Finally, we come to the scalp treatments - Alpha Energy and Energy Smoothing System - I have used these together so it is hard to tell if one is more effective than the other, or if the combination is some sort of magic. My scalp is reborn - there is very little irritation now - normally it comes on the last day before I was it, whereas before I would constantly have dry and flaking areas (despite years of trying to manage it - although it is not as bad as when I was a teenager). Not only that but I have noticed less hair dropping out and healthier hair. I have even had a few comments about how much thicker my hair looks! Which is remarkable.

Overall, I do rate the SP Energy code system - I think I will go back and have a consultation once I am back from holidays in August, as the heat really takes it out of my hair - it will be interesting to see how my Energy Code changes.

I was provided the products and salon treatment for free in return for an honest review on the Wella Systems Professional Emergy Code Products. This has in no way influenced what I have said in this blog post.

Beauty| What's your WELLA Systems Professional Energycode?

What is Systems Professional?

Systems Professional has long been known as the industry leader in the science behind great hair. Having teamed up with top stylists at Wella, they have found the key to unlocking the secret to re-energizing and transforming hair.

During their research, they discovered that everyone has their own hair energy profile - it's as unique as a fingerprint. Finding your ENERGYCODE™ COMPLEX can completely transform your hair.

This major leap forward in the science of hair care has informed the creation of innovative and new System Professional in-salon treatments and at-home product range with ENERGYCODE™ COMPLEX

The Consultation

Hair is as unique as a person's fingerprint. Defined by structure, texture and scalp.

New System Professional treatment and product range with ENERGYCODE™ COMPLEX are designed to address your personal hair requirements offering a personalised treatment tailored to your individual hair structure, hair texture and scalp.

The first step towards restoring “Hair Energy” is to diagnose your unique hair energy profile, your ENERGYCODE™, using System Professional’s new hair energy mapping in the salon or online. System Professional experts have developed special hair energy mapping diagnostic tools, a handheld microscope and in-salon app for use by hair care consultants in the salon and a self-assessment tool on the website for an initial diagnosis at home.

Once a hair energy profile has been diagnosed, a personalised system of new System Professional treatment and products with ENERGYCODE™ COMPLEX can be prescribed, out of over 100,000 possible care combinations.

The Products

My energy code was S1,B3,B4, X5A - This means that I am using the Smoothing shampoo (S1), the Balance Mask (B3), Balance Energy System (B4) and the Alpha Energy (X5A).

The consultation recognised what I would call my three trouble hair areas.

  1.  The Frizz - I would love to be able to wear my natural waves more often, but frizz prevents this. This is where the Smoothing Shampoo comes in.
  2. Dry Scalp - My Scalp has long been a massive pain. I have suffered from dry itchy scalp since I was a child. The only way to manage it was to avoid product with Parabens and Sulphates, but that never fully stopped my dry scalp. The Balance Mask, helps to  rejuvenate my scalp, helping to hydrate the dry skin. This leads me on to the final issue...
  3. Hair Loss - My hair has reduced in thickness so much over the years. While a certain amount of this can be attributed to my misguided home bleaching in my early 20s, my dry scalp has not helped the matter. The Balance Energy System and the Alpha Energy product help to improve the scalp, nourish the hairs structure and increase anchorage so that you lose less hair.

Initial thoughts

After my initial appointment, my hair felt amazingly soft, was bouncy and full of volume that I can't achieve usually. Also, despite having no colour treatment, it seems to have taken the red tones out of my hair, leaving a lovely cool brown colour.

Have you had a Energy Code consultation?

Beauty | Irresistible Me Clip In Hair Extensions Review

Hair extensions and go back a very long way. I used to braid pieces of thick wool into my hair, glue wefts in and in more recent yeas started a love affair with clip ins. When clip ins weren't widely available, I used to make sew my own clips on to wefts and make do. Luckily there are plenty of places now where you can buy pre-made wefts.

Unluckily, not all clip ins are created equally. There are several ranking factors when you are discussing extensions and I am about to cover them:

1. Hair Quality

The time has long gone since awful plastic shiny synthetic hair. In fact, synthetic options are really good dupes nowadays and can handle heat styling without melting. But me, I am a real hair sort of girl, the texture and the shine just can't be beaten.

My Irresistible me 22" Silky Light Brown Remy extensions are a lovely texture, they have a great gloss to them and are very manageable. I tend to wash my extensions once a month and find that these barely shed in comparison to other sets I have bought.

2. Wefts

My hair is quite thin, so I usually have to use single or double wefts to look natural. Often I find that some places will over weft and not structure the line of clips properly. When you have thin hair this is not good. It puts too much weight and pressure our hair and can be painful and lead to your clip ins slipping out.

The Irresistible me clip ins are mainly 1 or 2 wefts on the shorter pieces that I use for my sides and he lower back of my head. The main weft is a double (possibly triple) weft, which is held together with a netted fabric. This spread the tension evenly along the width of the weft which is better for your hair and also means they stay in place longer.

3. Clip type

There are two types of clips that are commonly used in clip in extensions. Let me make it clear - neither is a 'bad' clip, per say. There is one that is sturdy and should be used on longer and heavier wefts. The other is for smaller and lighter wefts. Often suppliers will just use the smaller clip for everything which can damage hair by not supporting the hair properly.

This packet of extensions used the heavy duty clips on everything so the clips don't tug or slip.

If you want to hear more about what I think of these extensions, watch my YouTube video below.

* I received these lovely extensions for free in return for an honest review.

Beauty | Five Fine Hair Life Changers

Growing up, I had a lot of hair, it was thick and shiny and amazing. Then I became my own colourist, with no training and no regard for hair health. I changed my hair almost as often as I changed my clothes, which meant one day it was black, the next I would have bleached the front to within an inch of its life and coloured it pink.

Years of this cycle, with no, or very little, restorative treatments, an undiagnosed thyroid disorder and a bad diet, led to my hair to thin dramatically. My hair never seemed to grow and if it did the ends were in awful condition.

Although, I would try to increase the time between washing my hair roots would be greasy withing a day and my ends knotty, dry and unmanageable. But I am happy to report that in the last 5-6 months, my hair has grown, can go 3/4 days without being washed and is shinny. So I am going to share my secrets.

NIOXIN

I was recommended Nioxin System 3* by my hairdresser when I explained my concerns about my thinning hair. Nioxin have been creating products for thinning hair since 1987 and were voted  Favorite Fine/Thinning Hair Line for the 14th year in a row at the 2015 Stylist Choice Awards. They don't have a "one size" fits all mentality and have 5 systems to help combat thinning hair.

System 3 is designed specifically for Chemically treated hair which is for 'Normal to thin-looking'. It consists of a Cleansing Shampoo, the Scalp Revitalising Conditioner and a leave in Scalp treatment. I started using this in October and have since noticed my hair grow faster than usual. My roots no longer get ridiculously greasy, meaning I get a good few days before I need to wash it and then ends are more manageable. My hair also looks fuller.

Never Shampoo your ends

I think part of the reason my hair would extremely dry at the bottom is because I would shampoo the ends, which were already dried out. Once I stopped, the ends became better and once I changed to Nioxin, the roots got less greasy. It meant I broke the cycle, my roots weren't greasy, so I didn't have to wash my hair daily and therefore, wasn't stripping my ends of moisture.

Bobbles, not hairbands

A hairband has been on my wrist since I was about 5, but more and more I was becoming aware of the damage these were doing to my hair. It would snag, my hair would get attached and I noticed a lot of breakage where I wore my ponytail. Not to mention, the annoying phase where your band has stretched and it's not quite tight enough, but you can't wrap it around again.

My sister Bella, has been a  Bobble* wearer for a while so I had heard good things and thought it was time to try them out. I find that they are great - my hair doesn't get caught in it, I can wrap it loosely around my hair to keep hair out of my face, without adding tension to my roots, or creating a kink in my hair. I occasionally wear clip-ins too, which is great with the Bobble as it caters for the new found thickness without it stretching out.

Heat Defense Spray

This isn't rocket science really is it? But did you know that girls in the UK have the worst hair? We over style, curl and straighten, all with heat, more than any other nation. We also are the most laxed at heat protection.

The best thing to do is try one that works for you. I have used heat sprays in the past that has left my hair feeling funny, caused my scalp to itch and even made my hair extra greasy. I've started using the Osmo Thermal Spray*. Not only is it affordable, but it also is lightweight and effective, meaning I don't have to compromise volume for style.

Heat Styler

I received this Trevor Sorbie Heat Styler as a PR sample from Tristar Products. I am a big blow dryer person, but this heat styler is great for extending time between washing and adding volume. Day two hair for me is usually flat and filled with kinks, so I just go over my roots with the heated comb (which goes up to 200c) and then open it up to get rid of the kinks with the straightening function. I do have some GHDs which I use for a straight and sleek look, but these allow you to keep shape while smoothing hair.

What are your hair secrets? I need all of them so I can get the mane of my dreams!

* All products featured in this post were received as gifts or PR samples. This in no way reflects how I have reviewed them. In the case of the Nioxin and the Kodo Bobbles, I have since purchase more of each item myself.

Beauty |The Body Shop #24DaysOfHappiness Mens Grooming

Christmas is nearly upon us, but have you ever noticed how hard it can be to buy presents for the men in your life? This year I caught a break. The Body Shop asked me if I wanted to take part in their #24DaysofHappiness advent campaign and as a result, I received two men's gift sets. The first was this lovely Fragrance Kit, consisting of a lovely Eau De Toilette, Deodrant and Shower Gel all from the Activist range, which was then packaged beautifully in a tin. If you aren't familiar with the the Activist range, it has a lovely wood, spicy smell to it, making it almost Christmassy, but subtle enough for it to be worn all year round.

This year has been a big year for Joe and I, mainly because he has opened up his own Barbershop, so it's not surprising that he immediately kidnapped the second set, which was a Shaving Kit. The kit includes Maca root Shaving Cream, Razor Relief and a Shaving Brush, allowing for an ultra close shave.

Not really being an aficionado in men's fragrance or shaving products, I thought it would be good to let Joe have a play and give me feedback:

"I think I prefer the shaving kit, but being a Barber, I could be biassed. The Maca Root Shaving cream lathers up really well and a little bit goes a long way, which is great if you shave regularly. The cream also helps keep the skin from drying out during shaving. The Razor relief is a great product if you suffer from post-shave irritation, it is really soothing and helps prevent redness and rashes.

I'm quite picky when it comes to fragrances, so I didn't hold out a lot of hope for the Activist Kit. But I was pleasantly surprised, I often worry that these things will be Brut-esque. I liked the woody element of the smell. This is definitely a pleasing upgrade from the Lynx box sets that ruined my teenage Christmas dreams."

Do you have a male gifting super-secret or do you find it as difficult as the rest of us? I swear there are only so many wallets and socks I can buy my dad!

Beauty | Nars Matte Lipstick and Laura Mercier Brow Pencil Review

Sorry for the Uber Pout!
This autumn is all about dark matte lips and a strong brow, and I have found my dream team for this look. I struggle with my brows, they are quite dark and an OK shape, but there is a fine line between on fleek brows and looking like I have let a toddler draw them on with a thick black marker pen!

For the past few years I have chosen to use powder to fill in my brows, but they would not last the night or would be difficult to get a good shape. I usually stay away from eyebrow pencils, I find that they are either too hard to apply properly or too waxy, causing my coarse Persian eyebrows to clump together. However, this Laura Mercier pencil is a dream come true. I went for the Warm Brunette shade, which I ordered along with the Nars Lipstick from Urban Retreats Beautique, it was my first purchase from them, but delivery was quick and I loved how the items came in there own little dust bags.

The brow pencil is a great shade for me, allowing me to stay on the good side of marker-brows. The pencil led itself is soft enough to apply easily, allowing me more freedom to craft my eyebrows into the shape I want. The other side of the pencil is a brow brush, which helps me tame the brow before and after application. Most impressively it comes with its own sharpener, that has it's own pokey thing (all my sharpeners have nibs stuck in them!).

Now on to my lips! We all know the struggle I have with lipstick, but I have to say this season i have been inspired and have been wearing lipstick a lot more. I haven't worn a Nars liptick before, I decided to try one of their Pure Matte range and then battled with myself over the colour - Volga (a dark purple) or Terre De Feu (a dark red) eventually settling on the latter.

While I am not sure on the packaging with the longer applicator, I prefer standard lipstick shape, the colour is lovely, I have had so many comments on it. My biggest fears with matte lipstick is it will dry out my lips, however, the Nars lipstick is surprisingly moisturising.

Are you a strong brow dark lip lover? What are your dream combo?

Beauty| #MiraMessMakers Easy Beauty Recipes

Mira Showers and Midas Touch Crafts teamed up to create four recipes for easy beauty products you can make at home, with nothing more than some supplies from your cupboards and water from the tap

If you have been reading my blog for a while, then you might remember I did a series one summer on D.I.Y hair and beauty.  I've been a lot busier recently, so apart from the odd bit of coconut oil in my hair, I've not had the chance to do any D.I.Y Beauty. This was the perfect opportunity to get back on it.

  1. Squeeze a Vitamin E tablet in the Coconut Oil (if it's hard place it in a bowl and melt it with hot water). At this stage feel free to add some cocoa powder if you want to a hint of colour.
  2. Add some vanilla and fudge essential oil for scent and stir together.
  3. Once stirred add the corn flour to thicken and leave to set.

  1. Mix brown sugar, cocoa powder and cinnamon.
  2. Add some honey and a little coconut oil and stir together.
Not only does this make a great lip exfoliant, but it's also very tasty! Apply with your finger or an old toothbrush.

  1. Put the soya wax into the microwave safe dish and heat it up to 65c.
  2.  Pour into a small pot or jar
  3. Add cocoa powder.
  4. Add ginger tablet – Ginger causes the blood to rush to the surface of the lips causing a Plump Lip effect.
  5. Add the contents of the Vitamin E tablet.
  6. I also added a little coconut oil to add a gloss effect to the balm.
  7. Stir to avoid the cheesecake effect and leave in the fridge for an hour to set.

  1. Take Oats and add half the juice from a lemon followed by honey.
  2. You can also add some cinnamon for flavour and stir together.
This is great for clearing blackheads and dead skin on the face.

Have yo got any natural beauty tips to share?
