TRAVEL | What I Packed For My Holiday

leopard clutch / gold studded clutch / black topshop quiltted handbag / freya swimming costume / panache bikini* / assortment of accessories /leopard kaftan / hawaiian tropic suncream* / dove moisturising cream* / kevin murphy angel hair range and salt spray*
By the time this post goes live I will have made it to Spain. I thought I would share some of the bits and bobs that I packed, obviously this is not all I have packed, but that would have been a ridiculously long post.

I have spent much of the day packing and repacking and trying to cram as much into the suitcase as possible! It is safe to say that I am not going to go over the weight limit, because the case is too small to manage that. While I am happy with what I have packed, I think accessories are key to help liven up an outfit from day to night or even completely change an outfit to add versatility to the travelling wardrobe. I've also packed 2 clutches for nights out and a handbag for day to day use.

Even though it is October, currently in Marbella it is over 20 degrees, so still warm enough to sit by the pool so I have packed two swimming costumes, my Freya one piece that I love and a new panache bikini* that I was sent this week from the new range (which I will review once I am back). I decided as it is just family and close friends at the Villa I would take the plunge and wear a bikini, while I'm still conscious of my size, I think after all the hard work I've put in I should just go for it. I'm also inspired by fellow blogger Callie Thorpe who wore a two piece in Barbados. I have also packed this beautiful leopard print kaftan that my dad brought back from Iran recently.

Finally is a few hair and body bits. Joe used to work at a gym who did a promotion with Dove (years ago) and we got a few travel sized bottles of moisturiser*. I always take these away with us as the moisturiser is a good, the bottle is a good size and my sisters love to use them too. I've also got a trial size Hawaiian Tropic Sun Cream* that came in the post. I've always been very good with sun cream, I think because of my heritage I find it hard to burn, although I do go red/pink for a few hours it quickly browns up. Although compared to my sisters and Joe I am practically albino! As for the Kevin Murphy products; I have been using the salt spray and moose for the last few weeks and love them (a review will come soon I promise) these are smaller bootles than the size I have been using and the moose came in a pack with the Angel Hair shampoo and conditioner (which are designed to give you more volume and contain no sulphates or parabens) although I haven't tried them yet.

Anyway, I have a few blog post going out this week, including two guest post. I also will hopefully do some blogging, or at least a week in pictures while I'm away!

FASHION | High street Swimwear Despair

As with bras, getting a swimming costume or bikini on the high street is close to impossible. I walk into New Look, Topshop etc looking at all there lovely swimwear none of which will ever support my chest. The tiny triangle bikini tops or the cutout swimming costumes are not designed for people with boob, well at least natural ones that need supporting. Before I heard of Bravissimo, I would just got to which ever shop sold an underwired bikini top big enough to offer the tiniest amount of support and would wear it under my tankini or swimming costume.

Luckily I am now aware of loads of places you can get proper supportive swimwear, and the ones above are some of my favorite costumes. Bravissimo and Bra Stop both have sales on at the moment too, the Ballet swimming costume is just £19.00 which is a bargain!

I have bought the Prairie so that I can go swimming on the beach, if the sun ever comes out again! I also hope to be comfortable enough with my body and have lost enough wait to be able to wear a bikini in Spain when I go in October!
