John Frieda 3-day straight*, John Frieda luxurious volume* |
In the last year I have embarked on a mission to reduce my heat styling, so John Frieda 3-day straight* is a god send. Not only does it mean I can have beautifully straight hair, but it leaves my hair shiny and sleek for 3 days, reducing washing, blow-dries and straightener abuse.
I have to admit, I was sceptical it would work, my hair never survies the night well. I get rather hot in the night and as a result my hair frizzes up and goes curly. But the morning after my first use of the 3-day straight product my hair had not only survived but looked great. It even faired well after a jog on day 2 - my roots did frizz up a bit, due to sweat, but the rest stayed straight soft and shiny.
I will say that on my first application I over applied the spray, which left my hair a bit greasy and flat, but on application two (pictured) I also used the John Frieda luxurious volume blow dry lotion* which created a lot of volume at the root. I was very pleased.
To achieve the volume I wanted, I blow dried my hair upside down after applying both products to my hair. Once my hair was dry I sectioned it off and ran the straighteners through each section (as per the directions), making sure not to go too close to the root and lose the volume I had just created.
The 3-day straight spray is designed to work with straighteners and protects hair against heat, it is safe to use with chemically treated and coloured hair too. The product keeps your hair straight for up to 3 days, or until your next wash. I will definitely be using this product regularly, especially as straight hair is going to be a big look in Spring/Summer 2013.
John Frieda does a huge range of products including the Full repair and the Precision foam colour range.
Have you got any tips to keep your hair straight or add more volume?
Love Lilla xx
This sounds so good, I've been wanting to try it for a while but have been a bit nervous as my hair gets oily very easily. I love John Frieda :)

If your hair gets greasy quickly have you considered trying a sulphate and paraben free shampoo? Mine used to as well until I switched, thanks for the comment x
