I don't think I've ever done a male fashion post before! Joe generally buys a his clothes from smaller street wear brands that he discovers on Instagram, he also loves skate-wear and hats. He's hat crazy!

For this post, Joe got to have a mini spend up with New Look, among them was this Breaking Bad T-shirt and a pair of skater socks. Joe loves Breaking Bad, so I was not really that surprised when it arrived. Once we finally started watching it, we went through all seasons in a few weeks. He loves Heisenberg - whereas I hate him, but there is no need to go there right now...

A lot of Joe's styling comes from various different source. He loosely follows high street trends, but is also inspired by punk, skate brands and bands. He's styled his T-shirt with a burgundy Harrington jacket, black skinny jeans and lace up leather boots. Let's not forget his Brixton Chapter Fedora.

FOOD | A CHEEKY PIZZA EXPRESS TRIP

As I have probably mentioned before Hubs is a Pizza Maniac, if it was up to him we would eat pizza most days. I on the other hand can take it or leave it, especially as I seem to have some sort of intolerance to anything that's not a really thin crust.

We were invited to have dinner at the Pizza Express on Jubilee Street, Brighton. I know that this will probably sound odd but we haven't actually been to Pizza Express before. We tend to search out independent or small chain restaurants.

Although, we were really grateful for the invite, we were on a pre Marbella diet (not quite no carbs before Marbs) so it didn't seem to be the most ideal of places to dine. However, I was really surprised to see how well they cater for those on a diet and how transparent they are regarding calories in their Leggera range (their low- cal range).

I was also very impressed by the wine list, being my mothers daughter I have grown partial to New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs, which are often not available at many restaurants, but Pizza Express serve a beautiful one.

When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely gentleman who took us to our table. He offered us some olives to munch on while we looked at the menu. 

I decided to stay on the lower calorie scale and chose the Leggera Panzanella "Pizza Express" salad. While the salad was very simple, it was very refreshing. I love cucumber, red onion and tomato salads - this one was livened up with capers, croutons and dressed with olive oil, basil and balsamic vinegar. It was also  less than 250 calories.

Hubs, being less diet orientated, and less in need of losing weight, ordered the Garlic bread with Mozzarella.

For main I stuck with the Leggera range, choosing the American Hot. I think it is great that they take their most popular pizzas from the main menu and use them in their low-cal range. All the pizzas in the Leggera range are less than 500 calories, They are thin based with a section of the middle taken out and filled with great salad. While Hubs went for the Calabrese, which, though delicious proved to be too big for even the Pizza King himself. Luckily the lovely guy at Pizza Express boxed it up for him.

Despite going for the "diet" option I felt full after the starter and main, so Hubs and I skipped dessert.

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by our experience. The service was great and the location is prime, and it is surrounded by great bars.

HUBS | Hugo Boss Boss Orange for Men Review

When my wife asked me if I wanted help out on a review for a His and Hers fragrance I was a little worried. I can be fussy when it comes to my aftershave tastes and they can change with the seasons. So I was pleasantly surprised and secretly quite relieved, when I discovered we were reviewing the Boss Orange aftershave and perfume.

Strangely enough we both already wear the fragrance. I discovered it soon after it was released in 2009(ish) and bought a female version for my wife a short time after, luckily liked it as much as I did.
I'm quite a Hugo Boss fanboy (I got married in a Boss suit) and for me the Boss Orange Man EDT fragrance is very much an all-rounder. I can happily wear it at home, in the office on a Monday morning and equally at ease at the yacht club (I wish!) on a Friday night.

I would say its a fresher summery version of Boss Bottled, although called 'orange' it doesn't have overly powerful fruity or citrus smell. More of a warming sweet subtle spice with a hint of possibly apple?

It lasts quite a long time on the body before wearing off and I often get compliments throughout the day from people asking about it. I also have previously worn the 'Feel Good Summer' edition which is a lot more fruity and really gives you that summer feeling on rainy Winter days.

I'm glad that I have only positives to say about this fragrance, I was anticipating having to write negative things or tell a few porkies but alas Boss Orange* is a solid Mens fragrance that has become a firm member of my top 5 and had secured a place on my dresser.

HUBS | Lego Simpsons Mini Figures

My wife will certify that I am a child trapped in a mans body. When it comes to toys I need no excuse to linger slightly too long in the toy isle at the supermarket. That's exactly where this little compulsion started, a little under two years ago I started buying Lego mini figures  - I was keen to get hold of the the lil' yellow man wearing a chicken suit (don't ask me why!)

Two years later, after amassing an odd collection of random mini figures I'm still hunting my elusive 'chicken man' (although we now have the crazy cat lady!)

For my Birthday my amazingly ingenious wife managed to get a huge amount of Lego Simpsons* mini figures delivered. (32 to be precise) Cue child like glee at the amount of Lego in front of my eyes!!

What a great collaboration and the detail is fantastic..

From Mr Burns' 3 eyed fish to Ned Flanders "I love south paws" mug, and my favourite Itchy and Scratchy. The accessories really bring the feel of the TV show to life.

After some time assembling the cast I was disappointed to see that I had a few 'doubles or swaps' and missing the Kwik E Mart entrepreneur Apu.

I can't really grumble as I have the entire collection minus 1 so it's a not the end of the world. I'm hoping for another series of figures in this collaboration as Spingfield has a vast array of crazy characters and look forward to future editions..
