HAIR | Macadamia Natural Oil Travel Set

I realise that my blog has been heavily dominated with posts about Macadamia Natural Oil post recently, so sorry but I am obsessed. This Travel Kit was a birthday present from a friends.
The kit contains:

  • 60ml Rejuvenating Shampoo
  • 60ml Moisturising Rinse
  • 60ml Leave-In Cream
  • 30ml Healing Oil
  • 30ml Deep Repair Masque
  • Oil Infused comb
  • Stylish Travel case
I have to admit I haven't used the Rejuvenating Shampoo yet as I am really happy with the Flawless shampoo
The first thing I used was the Moisturising Rinse. I think the name, or more so accurately the word 'Rinse' is misleading. I thought that the consistency would be more of a liquid but it is more like a regular shampoo. You only need to use a little bit of the product and leave it in your hair for 30-60s, which is great as it really does condition your hair in that time.

I have also started using the Leave-In Cream and as a result will be buying the full size version. I found that the Leave-In Cream really suits my hair and works great combined with a curling product to allow me to leave my hair to dry naturally. My hair usually looks really frizzy and shapeless if I don't blow dry it, but with this product I find my waves more defined and glossy.

As for the healing oil; this is by far my favorite oil. I have previously tested various Argon and Moroccan oils and personally found that the Macadamia Healing Oil is the best. It smells nice than the other oils, and I found that it soaks into my hair better, without leaving it feeling greasy.

Obviously I have previously used the Deep Repair Masque and loved it! The comb is a fantastic wide tooth comb, which makes easy work of brushing wet hair and is great to keep my natural waves looking smooth without frizzing them up.

I can definitely say that this travel pack will be joining me on my holiday in October.

LIFESTYLE | Weekly Portrait #3

I promise one day I will wear make up in my weekly portrait! The sun is out today which is amazing, so hopefully it'll stay that way! Now I need to think about buying a few summer pieces. This week my younger sister is graduating and I am so proud of her so we are having a graduation dinner with a few family members. I'm also going to the Curvy Kate bloggers event this week so I will let you know how that goes! Have a good week :)

BEAUTY | My latest obsession Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm

I've never been much of a lip girl, I more of a strong eye plain lip person. I rarely wear lipstick and gloss makes me feel uncomfortable, I usually just stick to a coat of Carmex. In fact, Carmex is wonderful and I have been using it religiously for years, there is a pot in every hand bag I own and all over my house. The cats have even kindly hidden some under the sofa for me should I ever be at a loose end. My love of Carmex has also rubbed off on my sister and a few of her friends.

The only problem with just using Carmex is that sometimes it just doesn't complete my look, my lips can look really pale and plain. I recently came across Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Red Dahlia, at first I was sceptical, worried that the colour would be to bright and that my lips would not feel soft, which is something I have experienced with non-Carmex lip balm. So after trying it I was very ecstatic with the results.

My lips are not dry and feel great just like when I use Carmex, also the colour is lovely, it is definitely a tint, rather than a bold statement and is a great addition to any make up look, just giving a bit of a natural enhancement.

At £5.99 it think it is a steal!
