Black short sleeve shirt / Topshop high waisted skinny jeans / Office chunky lace up booties / Chanel quilted handbag / Comme des Garçons comme des garcons hat / Jassen, £120 / Amethyst Stone Bracelet £20 / Infinity Bracelet By Hot Crown
It's been a while since I have done a clothing wishlist - I'm not to great at doing regular post it would appear! This week it was announced that Slipknot and Korn are touring the UK. today tickets went on sale and no doubt were going in minutes if not seconds.
Although, I have only ever seen Korn at a festival, I have had the honour of seeing Slipknot at the Brighton Centre in 2002. I loved every second of it, but looking back at the photos, I really don't know what I was thinking when I got dressed! It's fair to say that my style has evolved with age. I'm hoping to take Joe to see Slipknot and Korn and with this in mind and my terrible fashion faux pas from the last gig, I decided to to do a wish list for the gig.
I've stuck to black mainly, black is a rock staple. I am loving the Topshop Joni ripped jeans, they are high waisted so will hold me in and the rips aren't too extreme. I've teamed it with this basic logo tee - because let's face it, who hasn't wanted to be a unicorn!
I am loving wool coats at the moment too and this one here. is perfect for keeping me warm if we go bar hoping before or on our way back to the train station. As for the ankle boots, the heel looks comfortable and would I really be embodying rock icons like Courtney Love, Tarrie B or Brody Dalle without a single bit of leopard print?
Young 2002 me would have shunned this beautiful Chanel bag, but being grungy doesn't mean you have to be drab, in many ways it is about the attitude as much as the clothes.
When you think about your younger years are there any outfits or trends you just cringe when you think about?
