FASHION | Simply Be Partner Styling Challenge

Joe was recently tasked with styling me for the Christmas season by Simply Be. Obviously this was very exciting, but completely horrifying at the same time. Joe is a man, how can he possibly understand things like dressing for shape or boobs?

The final outfit consisted of this lovely Skater dress*, I am not hugely comfortable in girlie dresses, and this one was a flattering shape, caters for my chest and has a lovely gold metallic pattern on it, which makes it more dressy, while keeping it comfortable.

As the dress was short sleeved and Joe know I can be a bit bingo- wing conscious he added this lovely fluffy cropped jumper*. This was something I loved when I saw on the website and imagined teaming with jeans, but unfortunately when it arrived it was just too high-necked for me. However, I think my lil' sis may have her eye on it...

To accessories the outfit he chose this simple geometric necklace*, I'm not going to lie, I have worn this everyday since it came. It's such a nice simple addition to any outfit. He also added this lovely Faux Fur Stole* - originally he ordered the black, which would have been a perfect addition for the outfit, but they were out of stock so he went with the cream one. While it doesn't really go with the outfit (or might look better minus the jumper) I love it, and have discovered it goes perfectly with a new coat I have! The bag was also a nice touch, he initially chose the black patent one, which would have again matched the outfit a lot better, but I think my love of leopard print made it a tough decision for him too make! Shoes are meant complete an outfit - knowing how clumsy I am in general, let alone in heels, he went with some wedged ankle boots*.

Overall I am pleased with the outfit he chose - it also made me realise he pays a lot more attention than I thought - like the cut of the dress for example!

2. Layla High Waist Legging £6.00
3. Erinne Multi Studded Bracelet £8.00
4. Nina Spike Ring £6.00
5.Mia Patent Quilted Purse £5.00
6.Basic Canvas Pumps £4.00

To celebrate BooHoo.com making it into our Top 10 Fashion Money Saving Websites list, they have launched a new blogger challenge to find the best outfit for £50 or under at BooHoo.com. Your outfit can include whatever you like, a dress, shoes, jewellery, accessories and whatever else you can find as long as the total cost does not exceed £50. There are four £50 BooHoo.com fashion vouchers up for grabs for the best four fashion outfits, which means if you win you can buy your creation! - Details of entry below.

This is my outfit! When I first saw the £50 challenge I thought it couldn't be that hard! Boy was I wrong. Getting a whole outfit including shoes and jewellery is a lot harder than it seems! But I did it with £3 to spare!

I'd wear this outfit to work as it's simple and comfortable, but the studded detail on the shirt, the accessories and the patent purse adds a bit of edge to it. I'd glam it up with a high ballerina bun, lashes of black eyeliner and a bold red lip!

How would you spend your £50?

How to Enter
1. Head over to BooHoo.com and start piecing together an outfit, making sure you do not exceed your £50 budget (no student discounts or other voucher codes can be used to help you stretch this budget I’m afraid).
2. Write a post about your outfit and this competition on your blog, which includes a link back to our home page www.fashionvouchers.com.
3. Email a link to your entry to competition@fashionvouchers.com.
To help you get started you might want to check out the BooHoo.com clearance page.

2. No cash alternative is available for the prize.
3. The competition starts on September 1st.
4. Closing date for entries is September 30th.

HAIR | The Dove Colour Radiance Live Challenge Picture #1

OK, I know, I really need to start applying make up before I take these photos! Here is my first photo for the Dove Colour Radiance Challenge. Last night was my first time using the Colour Radiance Range*. Not only is the whole range made as colour revitalisers but they also have a UV filter, to help protect your hair from the sun.

I was a bit skeptical about using the shampoo as I usually use a sulphate free shampoo. So I was very pleased to see that the Colour Radiance Shampoo was low sulphate. The shampoo not only smells great but felt really good to use on my hair, and instantly de-tangled any knots.

My hair was feeling a bit dry after my colour so I decided to use the Colour Radiance Express Treatment Conditioner instead of the regular conditioner in the range. The instructions said to leave it on for 1-3 minutes which I did. Once that was washed out, I applied the Colour Radiance Live Leave In & Care spray - which again smells amazing and is incredibly light to use. As I knew I was going to need to wash my hair this afternoon because I'm working out, I decided not to use heat on my hair ( I learnt a lot from 30DaysNoHeat) so whacked them in Curlformers overnight!

To be honest I'm a bit disappointed because my hair still feels quite dry and straw like despite using both the Colour Radiance Express Treatment Conditioner and the Colour Radiance Leave- in Conditioner. It is more than likely that my hair just needs a bit longer to recover from the colour.

FASHION | ASOS Blogger Challenge - My Entry

Top : £15.00
Trousers : £28.00
Shoes : £18.00
Sunglasses : £12.00
Bracelet : £18.00
Outfit Total: £91.00

I decided that I would enter the Discount Coder ASOS Blogger Challenge. The aim of the game is to make an outfit for £100 or under from items bought solely from ASOS. The winner of the challenge gets £100 ASOS vouchers.

I know fashion isn't something I've really approached yet, but as I get slimmer and start buying new clothes (I find it hard to bring myself to spend money on clothes that won't fit me in a month) I would like to start doing more fashion focused pieces and maybe even outfit of the days.... But we will see. Anyway let me know what you think of my out fit :)

HAIR | The Dove Colour Radiance Live Challenge

As I said in my last post I have taken up the Dove Colour Radiance Live Challenge. The lovely people at Dove invited me up to the Salon at Dove HQ where they pampered me to death!
Firstly their HQ is amazing, it was an early start for me, but when I arrived they had fresh fruit, croissants and juice waiting for everybody! There were 5 or 6 of us being treated to a professional colour. We all had our 'before' shots taken and then met our hairstylists. The plan for my hair was to do my roots and balance out my ombre hair so there wasn't such a contrast between the top and bottom.
While the colour was in my hair I was also treated to a lush lilac manicure and a couple of glasses of Presecco (so glad I chose to train it instead of drive!). My hair was then washed out, blow-dried and left in curlers before it was styled for my 'after' photo. All the photos and video footage from the day will be posted on the Dove facebook page later on this week! I absolutely love my new hair, it looks so much softer than before and I like the subtle transition between the two colours.
Now for the challenge I will be testing the whole of the Dove Colour Radiance Live range* for four weeks and sending them five photos a week to see how well it keeps my colour. I will keep you guys up to date as to how it is going and will introduce you to each product as I use them.
